Quick question: What is the best Nutrisystem diet to follow or supplements to take? Thanks in advance for any response. My other question... Hello,.

I am 5"10 and about 250lbs. I was on Nutrisystem back in 2001 and did very well but hated the food. Now I am at my fattest weight ever and need to get moving..

I have considered some different diets..

South Beach- Worked when I tried it years ago but realized it was hard to stay on it. I also hated the eggs and missed having crunchy food. Benefit it is free.

Weight Watchers. Did it last spring and into the summer. Great program but the meal planning was a real pain in the neck. I actually think it is one of the best out there..

Today I am trying to decide btweeen N/S and Jenny Craig. I understand JC has much better food but it is much more money..

As I said I remember not loving the N/S food..

If I do N/S. What foods should I avoide?.

Also anyone else here compare JC with N/S?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

Well, I think part of the program is not only learning about the food, but to start thinking differently about food..

This program has a great forum and I promise you will learn how to make the food better!!.

I love food and there is some awful food here. But there also is some good food and with the right add ins, you can really enjoy it!..

Nutrisystem has some really good tasting choices. Stop trying to compare plans. As far as I'm concerned there is no comparison. Nutrisystem works, period..

Nutrisystem is free to join, and have ongoing support here online, or on telephone. Last I heard JennyCraig charged you a hefty amount just for the privilege of being on their plan. Some of the advanced formulated foods taste better than the older nourish versions. The frozen entrees that ship with the select plan are reported to be good. But everyone's tastes are different so we can't tell you what you'll like. I'd also point out that part of what makes Nutrisystem work well for people is they find which add on fruits/vegetables/dairy&proteins they like and how to use them in support of the program.

NS is based on glycemic index and portion control. You can find support here for doing it completely with your own foods, to weekends-off plans, to the regular 28-day plan. If you want to start out inexpensively, you can go to the.

And try out the 20-day advanced foods weekends off plan, where you can pick your own foods, or if you're really concerned about the taste of the food and you don't mind the extra expense you could try the select program off the.

In my life, I've done JC, WW and Atkins along with a couple of my own concoctions. This is the best..

Jump in feet first and don't look back. You won't regret it...

Hey Guys,.

You name a diet and I've been on it. JC, WW, Atkins, South Beach, the 7th Day Adventist (you know the one with the killer cabbage soup - Nutrisystem Blue Berry Muffins have nothin on that soup)...I must say, I have been very pleasantly surpised by the taste and very satisfied with the Nutrisystem food...As the Nutrisystem Jedi Masters above tell you on other posts, the real key is staying with the program, eating the food and the add-ons, and DRINK the WATER!!!.

This really is working for me and I hope it works for you...Good Luck! in the words of Nike...Just Do IT!!!..

There are a million excuses for not succeeding in a weight loss program. I know, I have been overweight for 65 years and tried many different diets including the hard boiled egg and lettuce diet and another where I ate 500 calories a day for 5 days and fasted for two..

This time is different, I had a talk with a doctor who suggested Nutrisystem because of the wide variety of foods and the controlled portions..

The taste isn't the same as the fat, sugar and salt laden junk I have been eating but after doing this for three weeks I am getting used to the food and it is starting to taste pretty darn good..

You may try enhancing your food with other foods. I enjoy.

Pico de Gallo and pinto beans on my salad along with five olives. You will probably have something else that you can use to enhance your meal..

The best tool in your arsenal is the guys on this board. I've cried help twice and they came running to help..

As Red Green would say, "keep your stick on the ice, we're all in this together...

Having to talk a fat guy into ordering Nutrisystem is like having to talk a straight guy into nailing Angelina Jolie. If you don't get it, not sure what there is that anyone can say to you. That said, good job on putting in your order and getting started. The food is not 4 star but none of us got fat eating gourmet fare to begin with...
