Quick question... What is the difference between the Medifast Diet and the Atkins diet? Many thanks for any answer. My other question... How much did you lose in your first month? How much do you have to go? What are your favourite things about Medifast? And your least favourite?. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

I lost exactly 20lbs. in my first 4 weeks. 10lbs. of which was the first week. I started 8/1 at 235lbs. and 5'8".
I have 32.6 to go to reach my goal of 155. I love that I can grab the meals on the go. I do get tired of the food but it encourages me to make my lean and green different and something I look forward to everyday... |

I lost 14.5 lbs my first month. 2nd month I lost 9l0 lbs. I think the older you are the less you loose weekly compared to younger people. I have 54 more lbs to loose and will re-evaluate the situation once I get to that number. I love the fact that I don't have to think about the diet. When I get my food shipment in I put 5 packets in a zip lock bag and then each day I pick out a bag and that is what I eat for the day.
My least favorite thing is the eggs. I love eggs but don't really like cooking these eggs... |

I lost 13.4 lbs in the first 4 weeks. Just finished wk 6 and am now down a total of 16.6 lbs. Still have 23.6 lbs to go. I like the bars best cause they are easy to take when I'm out for the day. The chocolate shakes and pudding have an after taste (probably made with carob beans) which I don't care for. I also like the Chicken and Rice soup and the Cream of Broccoli.
Being able to make one L&G meal a day keeps it interesting cause you can vary that meal more than the rest. Eating every few hours is also great since it keeps your blood sugar level and I have often had problems doing that... |

WOW! Everyone has done a wonderful job their fist month. I'm on day 6 and I've lost 9 so far and I have exactly 20 to go. I can't wait to see what my end of the month number will be. So far, I love the fact that the Medifast meals are easy to pack, cook, and I get to eat 5 times a day plus a big LG meal. The least favorite thing so far is.....I have to watch everyone else in the house eat pizza, ice cream, and taco bell. That makes it really difficult.
Good luck to you all... |

I lost a little over 20 pounds in my first month, but more than half of that was the first week (Water weight much?) :-D.
The things I like most about Medifast is how easy and low stress the program is - and how supportive these online forums are!. The thing I like least about Medifast is the expense, but I'm worth it!.. |

I think I lost about 15# the first month, but it has averaged out to be 10# a month. I just have to lose 1# this week and I will hit 50# in 5 months..
My favorite thing about the plan is how quickly and consistently I am losing weight - which keeps me motivated to stay on plan... |

I lost 15 lbs my first month (7 of which were week 1). Since then, I've averaged around 9-9.5 per month. I'm down 101 lbs since Jan 1, and I only have 18 to go til goal!.
I love the ease and convenience of the program, the ready to eat food that I can just grab and go without having to think about, and most of all, the RESULTS!.. |
