First of all What is the General Motors Nutrisystem diet Program? Hoping for any answer or 2. Another quick question... I've decided to declare victory. I've been maintaining my weight around 200 since the beginning of November. I feel great, I'm down 102 pounds and this appears to be the weight my body is willing to maintain.

I've found a working lifestyle - it includes more Nutrisystem than I expected but it is working great. I've already been stretching my shipments so I'll start stretching them out further..

I've thought about this quite a while and I have finally realized that my mental attitude will be much better with the attitude of maintaining my weight down a bit as opposed to "struggling" to goal. I realize that to maintain this weight I will have to be pretty much on plan for most of the week..

I'm testing the waters to see how my mental view changes and whether it will affect my weight. I'm committing to reset my goal to 190 if I ever get to 206..

This doesn't feel like really reaching goal - but that may be good. I started with the attitude that I'm on maintenance - (maintaining a healthy lifestyle) - and I definitely recognize that since I've already been maintaining since November - I've found what works..

So, my Victory is that I've found a lifestyle that allows me to keep healthy and at a weight that I'm happy with - to me THAT'S a VICTORY!..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you help..

Just looked at your ticker closely. Amazing weight loss. Victory well deserved and hard earned. Good job..

As a side note, when I lost 60 pounds years ago, I wanted to lose ten more and couldnt. I saw my doc and he told me that our bodies have a 'set point' to some degree. He said if my set point was 147, so be it. Like you, I just declared victory and worked it..

Congratulations!..

Tom, you HAVE been victorious! After all the weight you've lost, worrying about a "final" 5 or 10 is counter productive. You've done an amazing, inspiring job of creating and embracing a new lifestyle that has you fit, healthy and looking great! Congratulations!..

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely be sticking around. Tomnew, Vader and especially Mobay have been a very big help to me and proof that it can be done. When I started I knew I could get the weight off - my concern has always been keeping it off. Last year was spent getting to this point - this year will be spent refining my lifestyle to keep me healthful and joyous. Sharing with everyone here reinforces and clarifies my own commitment. You've all been a great help!..

Tom, you are a weight losing animal!!!! Good job man... I wish I had half the consistency that you've demonstrated... Still, guys like you and Mobay and still big role models for me, and show me that taking these "breaks" are killers, and that I need to stick in there for the long haul. Thanks to you guys, you rock!..

Tom, congrats man!!!!!!! You and I have been doing this together for a year now and we can both say "THE PLAN works, follow THE PLAN"..

I still have some Nutrisystem foods around but haven't had an autoship since October. I still use it from time to time. (had a Nutrisystem pancake this morning.

) I still don't have the whole "lifestyle" thing down yet though. I still get nuts around certain foods - pizza, chinese buffets, etc so I just don't bring the stuff home or go to those places thinking "I'll be sensible this time, I really will!" cause chances are, I won't.

But, all in all, except for a little holiday craziness, I haven't done too bad. My original goal was 175, and while I would like to get down a little lower, if I can stay 170-180, I'll be happy. That's my goal for maintenance. I don't think I'll declare VICTORY yet though. Once again, congrats to you...

Congrats on meeting and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. Stories like yours are an inspiration to new guys like myself..

Also thanks to everyone using the weight tracker signatures, seeing your success is also inspirational and gives noobs like me a taste of just how fast the plan can work. Once I have a scale capable of registering my weight (apparently I exceed 400 right now) I intend to have my own tracker...

Tom, Congratulations on finding a healthy point to rally around. I am sure as you continue to work on Perfect Pushup, and the other training you are doing you are still converting fat to lean muscle. I hope to continue to run into you on the boards. Take care my friend. JT..

Wow! Tom and Yellerdog! So inspiring to me. I hope you both post your strategies, successes, and failures as you maintain. I'm intensely interested in that..

I find myself internally debating between keeping on a partial Nutrisystem program for life or perhaps picking yo-yo trigger points where I go back on-program for a couple months every year or so. At this point, I hold very little hope for me to actually refrain from large portions at, like Yeller mentions, Chinese buffets, etc..

Regardless, I'm not even half-way yet, so I've got a good 6 months or so before I "worry" about reaching goal..

Good job Tom. I read all your posts and you have taught me a lot. I may be joining you soon on the maintenance side of this trip, but I'm going to work another month or two toward my target of 170. I've noticed that even though the weight has leveled off for a long time, the measurements keep changing. Is that true for you, too?..

Congrats Tom!!!!, on both attaining your goal and maintaining your weight..

Your story tells me it can be done. I hope in the not too distant future I can say "I did it too"..

Started at 276 lbs. on Monday the 1st of Dec. 2008 and I was down to 256 lbs. at my last weekly weigh-in which was Monday 19 Jan 2009..

My initial goal was to get down to 200, but if it keeps going as well as it has I may reset my goal to go for 176 lbs..

Thanks for sharing your story, best wishes and continued success...

My original goal was 174 and I reset it to 180 after getting there and feeling so comfotable with it. Who knows, I may reset it to 170 some day but for now it's still 180...

Keep up the great work and continue to post your experience as you work to maintain..

Maintenance is really where the rubber meets the road and I am sure you will be successful at this phase as you have been in the weight loss phase since you have the correct attitude..

Thanks again everyone. For me this is the critical phase. Steve, you may decide that at least for now you've found a weight you can maintain. The good part about this is that I've found what works. The basic idea is that I will be 100% every day I can (without a struggle) and do my pigging out at the salad bar (as opposed to the Chinese buffet). I don't intend to visit Argentine Steak houses or order french fries, baked potatoes etc.

I also know that the slope can get very slippery very quickly - so I don't intend to test myself. YD, Steve and all you others in the 2008 100 pound loss crew - I hope you'll join me in figuring out how we're going to stay here the rest of our lives..

Wizz - in many ways - it's apparent that you've really got the lifestyle down - I hope you'll share even more of how you handle your lifestyle and what adjustments you plan to make when you reach your goal weight..

Looking forward to learning more from everyone here!..
