Question I have... What is the Good Morning America Medifast recipes link? Thanks in advance for any answer. My other question... Hi again,.

Okay - since I was 15 25 years ago I have been drinking Medifast diet coke. I pretty much only drink Medifast diet Coke and water and occcasionnaly oj on sundays. I typically drink about 5-7 cans a day.......BAD.. I know......

I am on day 3 of removing it from my life and the headached I expected on day one has arrived.....I am in PAIN.... does anyone know if I can drink a caffeinated water? or what is another way to get.

Caffeine.

On this.

Liquid diet.

I hate.

Coffee.

And tea...........OR, should I just suffer through it..

The good news is that I am in enough pain and nervous about the.

Surgery.

That the emotional craving is low....lol.....there is always an upside right? :).

Suggestions are helpful!..

I too was a Medifast diet coke/pepsi drinker. I gave it up 3 months ago because I knew I would not be able to have the carbonation after.

Surgery.

I truly only had 1 bad night. I just wanted to stick my tongue in a glass and feel the carbonation and taste on my tongue. But I didn'tI went.

Cold turkey.

And have not really missed them alot. Save alot on the grocery bill too. My husband still drinks them but it doesn't bother me...

Best to just suffer through it. It's a.

Caffeine.

Withdrawal headache. To.

Avoid.

Another one, you'll need to.

Avoid.

All caffeinated beveragestea,.

Coffee.

, sodas, etc. I spent almost three months decaffeinating myself because I really didn't want to give up my.

Coffee.

Now, I'm okay with it. On my program, we are advised to.

Stay away.

From all.

Caffeine.

For the first three months post-op. They don't even want us to drink decaf because it still contains some.

Caffeine.

And.

Caffeine.

Can increase your risks of dehydration. There are many dietary changes that we have to make to life the GBS lifestyle, this is just one of them. You might consider replacing the soda with an organic fruit juice diluted with some water. I put about 6 oz. of juice in a 16.9 fl.oz. bottle and fill with water. Pretty tasty, low calories...

Pop some.

Tylenol.

, go to bed and.

Sleep.

Off the.

Caffeine.

Withdrawal. I had a massive headache for 2 days when I went through the.

Caffeine.

Withdrawal preop. Then it was gone and didn't come back! You will get through it and feel better in the end!.

Good Luck!.

Surgery.

, I don't even have time to think about it!.

I went.

Cold turkey.

! I gave it up the day of my.

Surgery.

And haven't gone back to it..

You'll be fine! Hang in there!..

I don't think I drank anything but Medifast diet Coke and.

Red wine.

For about 5 years! When I quit, it was.

Cold turkey.

...but I started taking.

Tylenol.

Every 4-6 hours the first day and didn't ever feel the headache!.

It's been almost a year since I gave it up and I can honestly say I have no desire to start drinking it again..

You can do it!!.

JJ..

I feel your pain girl! I would have killed someone for a Medifast diet coke or pretty much any type of soda for quite a while. It has been a year and a half and there are days when it still sounds real good to me. Knowing how it would make me feel keeps me from going there. Like everyone has said here...take some.

Tylenol.

, drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and hang in there. It will pass..I promise. You have a lot of support here and as well as a lot of former soda junkies :)..
