Nobody said anything but it's my understanding it absolutely must be.

Calcium.

Citrate, and it is somewhat difficult to find.

Calcium.

Citrate. Is that other people go by? Among name brands that you might have heard of, Citracal is the only citrate. (Caltrate is a no-go.) It is something I have made an error on more than once so that's why I add that in. (I made an error even typing this post!) My nutritionist won't let me consume more than 600mg at one time..

Now you definitely have multiple options:.

(1) Citracal used to make two different flavor chewable chews; one was caramel and the other chocolate - they were fudgy chewable nuggets. Now Bariatric Advantage makes chews too..

(2) Citracal will dissolve ridiculously easy in liquid, so you can dissolve your dosage, say, in milk, and then use that milk to make a shake. (all vitamins apparently dissolve very easily, who knew. science experiment!).

(3) They make.

Calcium.

Citrate powder that you can mix in any drink no problem. Presumably you could feel some possible texture from dissolving the pill, the powder is undetectable..

(4) VITALADY!.

Vitalady.com.

Has a.

Calcium.

List and they show some Bariatric Advantage chews and the powder I'm.

Talking.

About..

Let me just also say that you didn't mention it but the pills in the beginning - and for quite a while - are really, really overwhelming. I have gotten used to it for sure and take them with no problem now. But let me tell you I was using those chocolate citracals and they really didn't taste bad but after.

Surgery.

I would just get sick of ANYTHING after a while and I literally ended up throwing away a half a box of those chocolates I couldn't bear to think of taking another one. If you told me that I'd be turning down anything chocolate 4 years ago I would have said you were nuts! Thank goodness I take the pills without a second thought now. I actually used to be on daily meds and I've adapted very well to 3 times a day. New habits were overall somewhat easier and what I thought I couldn't do, well, I can do after all!.

So when you get to a point where the pills don't bother you, Trader Joes makes a.

Calcium.

Citrate that is so crazy cheap that's what I use now. I'm in NYC so I don't have Walmart, they probably have a good one too. At TJ's it's $3.99 for a bottle that equivalent otherwise would be something close to $10 and it's great..

Last note - they make Citracal in "petite" = small pill size... it requires more pills though..

Calcium.

I have been using is the bariatric advantage chews. They come in chocolate and lemon flavor. They are similar in texture to soft taffy, but break down very easily when you start chewing them. I used the same ones you are currently using at first, but gag, they are icky...

I used those too, and they get old fast, don't they? Bariatric Advantage also makes a product I have used daily for 18 months now. It's called Unflavored.

Calcium.

Crystals. Comes in a white container, with a small scoop inside. You need two scoops, two - 3 times a day (check with nutritionist for amount needed)..

I add mine to Crystal Light, my protein drink I have most mornings, or Greek Yogurt, or S/F ice tea. Seems to have a SLIGHT sweet taste, so blends in well with the drinks...or yogurt. I couldn't live without it. You can order it onlineMy Weight Loss Center carries it in stock, along with other products, so I can "shop" when I have appts. there..

** I strongly recommend this product..

My doctor told me to take viactive. It is so good, especially the caramel one. Much easier than the chewable, chalky stuff...

Viactiv is.

Carbonate so it was ruled out by my doctor's office, but I also saw another post where someone said that carbonate could be associated with kidney stones, does anyone know if that's why we don't usually use carbonate?..
