Quick question: What's the safest Nutrisystem diet while breastfeeding? Thanks for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. I started Nutrisystem yesterday after a 2 year break, and got a headache yesterday afternoon. I just took 2 aspirin, then was fine. Then last night, I got a migraine right before bed. More aspirin, and went to sleep...and feel fine this morning. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can help you..

Well I am new to this and glad I seen this post. I started this week end on the plan and. I have gotten mild headaches off and on. I thought they were from caffeine withdrawal but I tried having a small coffee and it didn't help at all...
Yeah. Just stick it out. Take some aspirin or ibuprofen to get you through it. Before long you'll feel so much better than you can remember that it'll be well worth it. Your body is just detoxing from all the craptastic food that you were eating before...

Gas and excessive urination early on. The excessive urination slacked off - the gas did not.
Nutri-toots are a sign that the plan is working so learn to live with it, even have a bit of fun with it ( see the blueberry muffin thread). Another side effect we have all learned to live with is more frequent trips to the store to buy smaller clothes... |

"Another side effect we have all learned to live with is more frequent trips to the store to buy smaller clothes.".
I can't tell you how MUCH I'm looking forward to THAT side effect... |
Headaches and stomach aches were the norm for me the first few weeks. Drinking plenty of water helps and same with patience... your body will adjust over time to the new/healthier foods you're giving it. I also get gas and having to contantly p1ss but my buddies and I have decided it's more hilarious than an annoying side affect...
I assumed that the constant bathroom trips was because of all of the water I'm drinking...not the Nutrisystem food...
Yeap.. although at the beginning it was both due to the healthy amount of fiber I was finally eating and getting used to...
One other side effect after you've been on the plan for a bit are all the comments you get on how much better you look. That's one to look forward to...
Lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, no more sleep apnea......
There are lots of side effects to this program if you stick with it... |
I farted like a whoopy cushion. And I crapped like a race horse. To quote Michael "I was like a soft serve ice cream machine."..
Rumor has it your pecker gets bigger, but I think you can just see more of it...
But you have to remember that if you have a big ol' overhang, you're starting out in negative territory...
Why does the truth hurt so much? Also you stop peeing all over yourself..
Awesome...so the things I can look forward to are...headaches going away...lower blood pressure...lower cholesterol...comments on looking better...and larger pecker. LOL You guys are too funny...

Actually, I have suffered from chronic headaches and occasional migraines for several years. Since I started NS, my headaches are almost completely gone! (after about the first 2 weeks) My change in eating habits and water intake has been the best thing I've ever done for myself..
I can deal with the nutri-toots.. The trips to the head gets annoying.. My blood pressure is almost normal now.. I have more energy.. Down two holes on my belt and had to drill a new one last week.. I need new clothes... all my pants make me look like my a$$ went AWOL.. All kinds of stuff for you to look forward to!.. |
I think I had a migrane starting this diet, too!.
My migranes don't involve pain, though. *ducks* Don't worry, as time goes by, I'm sure the pain will be along.. I get the precursor and then about 20 minutes later, it goes away and it's like my brain just contracts about 10%. I am really irritable and more sullen than normal. Weird how these things work... |
I am on day 6, I am having some wierd side effect, now before I explain this I am not a dr nor do I know where exactly the organs are inside my body...
It seams like somthing on the left inside of my body is a little painful (left side next to stomach but closer to back), was wondering if it is kidney or liver... Anyone else have somthing like that going on??.. |
Ultimoleon.
You might want to check with your doctor if you are having pain. Depending on what your previous diet consisted of you may be having problems with all the extra fiber in your new diet. Just my opinion I am not in any way a medical professional, just an overweight fat guy who used to be an obese fat guy... |
Hmm, Thanks BIg JG, I am gonna give it a couple of days, but if it consists past thursday I am gonna go to the Dr's..
It kind of feels like I have something workiing harder than normal in their. I thought it might be from all the water I am drinking and all the urintating I am doing. '. I.. |
You can call the Nutrisystem Nutritionists and get their opinion as well. Or call the drs office and see if the nurse will speak with you about the pain...
A little pain in the back, about stomach level...could be a kidney stone starting to break loose. I had one about 3 months into the program. I don't think Nutrisystem had anything to do with it, but maybe all the water and wizzing was a trigger. Passed it, and have not had a problem since. If it has been 5 days, see a Doc. JT..
You're either detoxing and flushing out bad stuff, or might be having high-carb withdrawal..
I've noticed my back is uncomfortable sometimes - it almost feels like growing pains like perhaps my ribcage is readjusting. Now that I'm more flexible I can stretch out on the floor and everything pops...... |
The best side effect is the 2 inches gained for every 10 pounds lost..
And with this post I get senior status. WOOO HOO.. |
Well, I heard it was 1 inch for every 30 pounds...but I like yours better...
I had headaches for the first few days on the program, but after my body got used to things the headaches went away and I quickly started to feel overall much better...
I never even thought about why I was getting the headache. My wife says it's a withdrawal from the sugar that has been a part of my regular routine..
Good Luck I started yasterday.. |
Ulti-.
The pain on the left side stomach/back is your descending colon. I had/occasionally have the same pains when I'm a few hours out of giving it a workout. /hide. Rub your stomach clockwise, and rub harder when going down on the left... |
So now I am on day four of sticking 100% to the plan. I am still getting headaches but an advil gets rid of it so I am ok with that. Stomach is not cramping as much as it was which is good. Now the Nutri-toots I have read about but man they caught me a little by surprise. I was walking down the hall at work and coughed I damn near shat myself. Had to run to the bathroom and make sure everything was ok...
Are you serious.\?? hahaha Well it was really only a 2 day deal..
I feel much better. The first week I was out of my head. Had spurts of getting really tired at random times of the day.. I am on day 8 and the last couple of days, I really felt strong, more alert and not tired at all... I think I need to step up from my walking exercise to full on bike riding or running, only because I am having a hard time sleeping.. I just aint tired at night!.. |
My experience has been identical. Chronic headaches, both "regular" and migraines, are gone. I've had one migraine in over 4 months compared to an average of 1-2 a week. I used to take Excedrin with practically every meal, now I take a multivitamin..
And yes, the Nutritoots, I have those too. But I come from a family where such things have been considered hilarious for 4 generations and counting, so no worries there.. Oh, and of course, my clothing expenditures have shot up dramatically as I've lost 6" off the waistline so far and 2 X's off the shirt size. I can live with that... |
