Question I have... When it is safe to resume a Nutrisystem diet after surgery? Many thanks for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. Hey guys, I sent an e-mail to Keith last week and he replied to me this past weekend. He's had some really serious issues since his car accident and he asked me to share this with the rest of you guys. I know that we all wish him the best and hope that he can get his health and his life back to normal as quickly as possible..

Hey Larry,.

Needless to say life has been pretty rough since last March. Ive had 3 epidural steroid injections in my neck and 4 in my low back and none provided any relief. I was forced to go back to work on 8/16 or else I would have had to forfeit my job since they were only obligated to secure it for the first 12 weeks according to the FMLA law. I tried making the 75 mile trip and did so until I started to feel worse. After multiple consults with doctors and my attorney it was determined that I had to have the surgery on my low back as soon as possible. The challenge was to work something out with my employer so that I wouldnt lose my job.

After speaking with the director of human resources, I found that I was accruing vacation all along and that I was eligible to take my 4 weeks of vacation to cover the remainder of the six weeks. All of the stress, pain and depression did not help my weight issues and Im back up to 350lbs which really is taking a toll on my state of mind in a very bad way..

I had the low-back surgery on 10/16 which lasted 6 hours and came home from the hospital on Sunday the 19th. PT had me up the next day after surgery and had me walking to the end of the hall and back. Unfortunately I did not arrange to have a bed and chair delivered to my home prior to my arrival so the first night was miserable. After the bed arrived I was finally able to get some sleep. Since then I have had the 37 staples removed from my back so it doesnt feel like sleeping on a bed of nails. I go to my pain management doctor tomorrow to see what changes I can make to my meds, if any, but I would like to get off of the narcotics as quickly as possible as they are wreaking havoc on my body.

Im sorry to ramble on but I havent opened up to many people about my concerns especially my weight issues. I know that I will pretty much have to start all over again but I succeeded once so there is no excuse that I cant do it again! I just have to make sure when I will be able to start, because I dont want to hinder any bone growth or slow my healing process..

I hope all is going well for you and are enjoying life. I hope that we can get together when I get back to the real me as I refuse to continue living the way I am living now..

If you are staying in touch with the rest of the guys please pass this along. And please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. And thank you so very much for checking up on me..

Sincerest regards,.

Keith..

What a story... My prayers go out to him and his family. I haven't been here long enough to have known Keith but saw his page. Actually my wife is "sorta" in the same position. So I can relate. I can only hope that at this trying time he can find a way to at the least eat right.

I wish him well and speedy recovery...

Larry: It's obvious that Keith thinks you're one hell of a guy. You're more than a spokesperson for a weight loss product. I can't wait to see Keith back on the boards, kicking us all in the ass & revving up our weight loss. I'll say a prayer for him...
