First of all Where can I buy Medifast power pops in the uk? Many thanks for any answer or 2. Another question... I'm 6 weeks out. I'm eating lots of fish and loving it. I tried shrimp a few days ago and it made me sick. I tried it again today, thinking that I ate too fast or didn't chew it up enough, and still got sick..

When can I have some shrimp??..

I'm a HUGE shrimp lover. I tried it about the same time as you or a little before and it made me sick, too. I couldn't believe it. I would have gotten sick if I didn't chew my papaya enzymes and i'm determined to try it again soon!!! I will just eat the papaya enzymes right away this time so it breaks it up while going down. I love shrimp way too much!!! I'm hoping it was a fluke. But Krimicri said it.

My friend can't eat strawberries and I love them!!..

I bought the baby shrimp and had it with shrimp cocktail sauce which I love and made sure I chewed each piece very good before I swallowed it. And I haven't had any problems so far and I am eight weeks out now. I had a small piece of steak last night for the first time and it didn't hurt my little pouch...

I've been told the little bottom feeder are full of.

Bad stuff but since the day I could eat protein they've been ony list. All my life I could power through any amount of the lil shrimps but now am limited to a small handful 4-6..

Good luck.

I was an early shrimp fan too. Try them without the cocktail sauce, I just checked the bottle in my pantry and 1/4 cup has 13 grams of sugar. You could be blaming the wrong culprit..

I always loved eating shrimp, but now even 5 months out I'm not a big fan. It just sits heavy on my stomach and doesn't feel good. The same with MahiMahi...it's a heavy fish...delicious, but not worth it...

I am 6weeks out as well and haven't tried shrimp yet because of a bad experience with fish. I tried baking fish two weeks ago and threw up twice. My nut told me to wait about 3 weeks and try it again. I love seafood period but with my pouch not liking the baked fish I have been too afraid to try the shrimp. I guess everyone's pouch is different..

Hope.

You can tolerate it later. Jena..

I did okay with shrimp in the early weeks, but then started having problems with it....lobster and crab were great substitutes!! (also didn't do well with Mahi Mahi or other fish)..

For me it is all in the preparation. If they cook it until it is rubbery, it is deep-fried or basted with alot of butter or oil it wont go down. The bay shrimp you have in salad and cocktails has always worked well. Otherwise if you order them in a restaraunt tell them exactly how you want them cooked...

1 of the 3 times in 4 years since WLS I ever puked was on a cold shrimp that I didn't chew enough. I tried it again in a month or so and did fine. Chew well and try it cooked... grilled/BBQ'd was the easiest for me in the beginning..

I'm 6 months out and still can't eat shrimp. I think it's the density/texture. It's just really hard for me to digest....Give it time. It may improve for ya!.

I love shrimp and at 4 mothns out can tolerate it in small amounts. No more than 4-6 shrimp at a meal. I recently went to a seafood restrauant and had them grill me some shrimp. Of course I brought home over half of them and had them the next day...(I shared a few with my pups..lol). I boiled a large pot of shrimp on Sunday and shared them with my neighbors. I do not eat cocktail sauce just the shrimp with lemon on them.

I have had Snow crab a couple of times and did well. One thing I do is take Talapia and put a light coating of Light Extra Virgin Olive Oil on it and throw it on my George Forman grill along with fresh squash(I have also done this with eggplant) and onion(these are coated in the olive oil too). I cook it until the fish is done then squirt fresh lemon on all of it and it is very tasty. I know we all talked about watermelon on here and I tried it again last night and threw it up. So, I will not go there again it made my pouch hurt too bad.

I am going to miss my bottle of water I have first thing every morning. I will let you all know how I am once I get back home and what they find out about the acid reflux...thanks all...you are a great group....

I do eat these! To funny I can't tolerate much protein that's dead but I've done well with shrimp. The little pouches just know what they like and don't like..

As for shrimp being bottom feeders, other than Pollyanna, most of the women I've loved in this life were just that. I really think my tolerance for the little fuckers come from that fact. LOL.

Love shrimp but it was one of the three times post WLS I puked... the first time I ate it... cold, big prawn, too big a bite & not enough chews... not pretty. Tried again in a month or so and worked out fine..

Try it prepared differently cold or grilled see which works best for you..
