Use it and Lose it Fall Challenge!.

Looking for a challenge team to join?.

We are looking for new members to join us for the upcoming Use it and Lose it Fall challenge. It starts August 30th and runs for six weeks. Joining a team for the challenge is a great way to make new friends, get support, and have fun all while heading toward our shared goal of weight loss!.

How do you join the Shrinky Dinks Team?.

Just simply add your name to the team roster below by copying and pasting it into a new post. Then post your starting weight by Monday August 31st at midnight to join the team!.

What does the challenge involve?.

The challenge is simple. Keep working your program daily by staying on plan, drinking your water, and exercising according to plan guidelines. You weigh-in weekly and points are counted for the team based on your participation..

Challenge Rules:.

Minimum number of team members = 8; Maximum number of team members = UNLIMITED..

Actual Loss/Gain will be reported each week, per individual..

Points will be reported for consuming at least 64oz of water per day - max 7 points per week, per individual..

Points will be reported for On Plan each day, max 7 points per week, per individual..

Scores will be calculated on a percentage basis -.

For the Loss/Gain it is the amount lost relative to the previous week weightgains DO count.

For Water it is the points (0-7) reported relative to the maximum points allowed (7).

For On Plan it is the points (0-7) reported relative to the maximum points allowed (7).

WEEKLY SCORES - (weeks 1-6).

Accumulated percentages from the 3 categories will be added for each WEEKLY team score..

Scores for team members who reported in for the week are included..

FINAL OVERALL SCORE - (6 week accumulation).

Accumulated percentages from the 3 categories will be added for the final OVERALL team score..

This score INCLUDES ALL participants, dropped & MIA!.

Official weigh days are either Sunday or Monday of each week..

Team participants MUST report their stats (L/G), Water & On Plan to their captain.

No later than Monday at 11:59pm EDT. (Midnight Eastern Time).

Team Captains MUST turn their team stats in to.

Hi everyone I am in as well......I have been somewhat MIA and am in the midst of my vacation as we speak....It's been great have spent tons of time with family and friends and feel great doing it.... Nice to meet all of you. I have been holding at an acceptable weight for sometime, but have recently put on a few as I began to add new foods. So I am aiming at a 10 pound loss this last leg of the journey..

I am in the midst of my vacation and weighed in this morning and was delighted to see a loss...Wow who would of thought but I will take if for sure. I am so excited for this new challenge to start, it will be great. Hope everyone had a great weekend, I was able to attend the marriage of one of my good friends and see all my old college friends. It was a blast and I felt good the whole time!.

The scoring has changed so reporting your stats will be a bit different. We will be earning points based on the following:.

Loss/Gain: actual lbs lost or gained.

Water: ?/7 points (points for each day of drinking your minimum of 64 oz).

On plan: ?/7 points (you get a point for each day of being completely on plan).

Hello Everyone! Today was my first week weigh-in and I lost 4 pounds! Woohoo! Only 123 to go! Seriously? That seems like forever but you know...10 months will pass whether I'm MFing or not so why not lose the weight while time goes by!?!.

Gee...where is everyone? I added a new ticker for the challenge (I left my old one alone as a reminder of where I was) I set a goal of getting to 150 during the challenge. I am feeling confident I can do it..

Good job cathlynn. I am feeling pretty good about the new challenge too. I have been drinking a ton of water so I feel the four pounds I lost in the first 2 days is fluid, ha ha! But hey whatever it takes ;>)..

It's nice reading all of your stories, we all seem to have a unified goal in mind, getting to goal! My struggle is not drinking enough water, I get the 64 ounces in and call it a day,.

Never was a big liquid drinker..

I have no problem with exercise, 5 times a week, rarely mess up with that. So this is good for all of us, we will have to be accountable for our "weakness" and stay strong on the easier parts. Okay, off to drink some water, I promise!..

Good morning, Shrinky Dinks! I hope everyone is having a great, OP first week of the challenge. The weather here in the Northeast has improved vastly and it's been sunny and warm, but cool in the overnights. My little girl started school yesterday and misses the summer camp program at the Y already! That program is running for one more week, until the schools in that district start, so we have plans to go to the Y after school today so she can go to Prime Time and see her friends still in summer camp, and I can get in a good, long hill on the treadmill! I see that I am burning a few hundred fewer calories in my TEE now as opposed to when I started. I suppose that's the only downside of losing the weight! Anyway, I have to work a little harder to get that TEE up again! That's a main goal of mine for this challenge. I've been wanting to do some stength training, but I love my cardio, so I made a little deal with myself. When I reach goal (during this challenge), I will check out the Body Sculpt classes which run twice a week at 4 pm at the Y.

Yesterday I threw on a pair of jeans and 2 sports bras to go out and cook on the grill. We have a mirror not far from the back door and when I caught a glimpse of myself, I chuckled right out loud! I could totally be seen in public with my belly exposed and not be ashamed! Go ME! 120-day progress pics will be taken Tuesday the 8th..

Hey team! Sorry I've been MIA for a little bit. Been struggling with some health stuff (TMI alert: periods every 10 days! - ACK! Plus just feeling off.) Went to the Dr on Monday for an exam & bloodwork. Hopefully she'll figure out what's going on with me. The pounds are a big struggle right now and she's worried about my horomone levels and possibly my thyroid. I'll let you guys know..

Anyway - haven't had much computer time either. But I've been thinking about you guys and hoping your first week is going well! I'm headed out of town for the long weekend and will be back late Monday in order to collect stats..

We had a total loss of 18.70 lbs this week!.

I haven't heard back from my Dr yet unfortunately. I felt awful most of the weekend with a horrible headache that wouldn't go away no matter what I took/did. Feeling a little better today, though. Just tired of feeling "off" ya know?.

Happy late birthday!!! Just keep working on that water intake. I struggled with it until I started using crystal light mixed in with it. I make a big pitcher of my fave (crystal light raspberry green tea) and put a little in each time I refill my water jug. It's not a lot, just enough to taste something other than plain ole water..

How are things with you? You're SO close to goal, girl! Are you getting into a groove with the kiddos all being back in school?.

Thanks for thinking about me! I'm hopeful we can figure something out soon. My mom had a similar experience as you did when she was my age. It ended in her having a hysterectomy. I sure hope it doesn't come to that for me. For now - the Dr is recommending a few months of birth control pills that I can start once I begin another cycle. I'm worried about how it will affect my weight loss.

Great questions! Hope everyone is doing well! I am sticking with hitting the gym and doing body pump. I think it is slowing down my losses on the scale, but that's OK. Not a bad first week of the challenge based on the stats...I am pretty exicted just purchased a few personal training sessions at my gym...Yet a little scared, last time I did one I could barely walk the next couple of days, they really work ya, but I think it will be good for me, cant wait!.

My goal is to lose this weight for once and for all- just started but I know the program works.

My best Medifast tip would be to add a little coffee to the RTD Choc shake and blend with ice; just like a frappicino... or freeze( a few hours) the RTD choc shake, just like ice cream Do you guys see a pattern here????..

Sorry I've been gone this week, ladies. If you're on Facebook with me, you've seen that Eli had an awful stomach bug - YUCK! I think he's officially on the mend now but he's still clingy and cranky. I got my lab results back from the Dr on Friday. My pap was normal and all the bloodwork she did came back within normal ranges. My red blood count was a little high but she didn't seem concerned with that. So basically we're back to the assumption that my frequent cycles are messing with my weight loss.

I'm willing to at least try it. I don't want to take something that further affects my hormones, but I also don't want to have periods every 10 days. I'm still feeling "off" but not sure how to pinpoint it. Just not like myself. And my evil scale is still not moving.

Sorry for the rant... I'll be back in the am to post my weekly stats. We had a great first week as a team!! Hope you all had a great weekend!..

Jessica, glad to hear that everything on paper is normal!.

I had a month where I was late on my TOM, which is extremely rare for me. Could it be soy related? Just a thought that you probably already considered, but thought I would throw it out there. Hope this gets straightened out for you! Hang in there. (after all, november will be here before we know it ).

Hi Everyone! I'm just now getting the hang on this message board process! I figured out I was missing a whole string of updates! To answer Jessica's question - yes I go to a center every Monday and weigh in and get my food. I need that one-on-one accountability. I'm happy to share everything I'm learning with everyone and if you have questions, I'm happy to ask them on Mondays when I go! Every four weeks they'll put me on a machine that measures my BMI and everything that goes with it (next week is the end of week 4 so I'll do that again and share the info). Every 6 weeks they measure me. This week I'll add in exercise: 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes. If I reach a plataeu (and I will) she'll add in 1 Momentum product a day for a week, then 2 Momentum products a day for a week then 3 Momentum products a day - never to exceed 3 in one day (she advised)..

About me: I'm married and have two kiddos (ages 9 and 11). I have a black lab who lives like a queen and barks at me when I eat because I feed her (bad habit but there you go)! She's been missing her table food treats these past weeks and will probably drop a few pounds with me! I work full time as an administrator for a law firm and love it. I was born and raised in the Lone Star State!.

Nice job team! Some great losses so far this week! I am officially on a platue I think and really need to re-focus and get going...Wow what a week, glad it's over and ready for a new one. Still feeling the burn from my first personal training in a while, legs still feel like jello, but I love it cause it feels like I actually got a great workout..

My consultant was very honest and said the taste of the momentum products wasn't ideal but that I'd see results if I reached a plateau. Let me know if it works!.

Ya'll I subscribed to this thread but for some reason it doesn't send me updates....

I watched some Biggest Loser last night. I normally love the show and get motivated from watching it...but once again Jillians mouth is more than I can handle. I am going to complain again to NBC and Biggest Loser....whether it makes a difference or not. But I am affraid I won't be watching this go round..

So how is everyone doing this week? Any struggles....I have gone a while without my beloved peanut butter...I am an addict. I think it has helped me alot though...

Hey, Mona! I love BL! I couldn't wait to see it last night. Daniel looks amazing. What a sweet kid. I hate to say it, but I think watching it this time around, I feel differently about the people. I still respect their efforts and hope they do well. But I don't feel sorry for them anymore.

If I were there, I probably would have kicked him. When Tracy took off so fast running in the beginning, I was like, "Slow down, you're gonna hurt yourself!" Not one of those people should have been running a single step! This is going to be a good season. I like a lot of the contestants. But I don't pity them. The "audition" videos showing them horking down huge cupcakes and sucking chocolate syrup from the bottle truly grossed me out.

It's still one of my all-time favorite shows (with House and Hell's Kitchen)!..

Happy Saturday, Shrinky Dinks! I thought I might reach goal today, but I didn't! I can't expect to pull big numbers two weeks in a row! But I am now fewer than FIVE pounds away! Yay! Since Sunday and Monday are official challenge weigh-days, I will look again tomorrow and Monday and see if I got any closer! Hope you're all having a wonderful start to your weekend!..

Neen - I just want to tell you how inspirational your page is! I pray that @ 30 weeks in I'll be close to 90 pounds GONE! I'd love to lose 127 pounds but I'll be happy with 115-120. You look fabulous! I was a little bummed at my 2 lbs loss for this week (hoping for higher numbers) but seriously - that's good and I didn't GAIN. I'm going to add one Momentum shake per day in the morning starting tomorrow. My consultant also suggested chewing 2 Fiber Choice - WEIGHT MGMT a night (gross but thought I'd share). I'm going to try the Banana Momentum and will let you know..

Shana, thanks for the advice. I haven't been brave enough to try the banana. The chocolate app. suppressant shake is good. I like it..

2 pounds is great! Seriously, I have been an abnormally fast loser...not sure why my body responded to this program so well, but I'll take it. It works, regardless of how fast or slow you lose. A loss is a loss and even if you don't lose one week, that's better than gaining....

Thank you for your compliments...it's crazy to think that I am almost at goal. Hard to put my mind around that. I am very grateful. So happy that you are on this journey. It is life changing...

Hi Girls! WOW Neen - that's GREAT! Keep it up! Last week was my first week on the Momentum shakes. I drank one a day and will continue with that for a month then move up to two a day. I think that was a huge help for me. We went to my husband's 20 year class reunion and it was a blast. I didnt' drink or eat off plan and it was HARD but totally paid off. I'm determined to get this weight off!.

Hey team! Checking in to say "hi!" Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pamper myself day yesterday. Got a haircut/color (check out my new profile pic!), mani/pedi, brow wax - the works! Feel like a new woman! And the scale has actually been MOVING this week - a couple up and then back down. I don't want to go up but I've been stagnant for so long any movement looks good to me! Jessica I am with you on the rut situation, can not seem to get the scale to move in the last several weeks.....Especially with being sick haven't worked out as much as I would like or even moved much... I am refocusing this week and am shooting for a high loss next week! Really need to get on track and continue in the right direction!!!.

Hello Team! Checking in to get our stats compiled. Well, I'm disappointed to say that after some movement my scale is back to 174 (same as last week, and the week before that, and the week before that....you get the picture!) I'm trying to stay positive but it's so hard right now. I have to just look back at how far I've come since I started the program on Jan 5th. I was 242 lbs. and miserable. It was physically hard to get down and play with my kids, horribly embarrassing to find clothes to wear each day, and I hated looking in the mirror.

But MAN I've come a long way. I can get down and roll around with my kids with no issues, I LOVE getting dressed each day in my now size 12 clothes (started in size 22!!), and I do a double take when I walk by any reflecting surface because REALLY?!?!?! THAT is ME!?!?! I just have to remember these things and KEEP GOING..

Thought I'd share....

Yesterday, the scale was up a little, for the 2nd week in a row, and I couldn't understand it at all. I've been so, so, so OP, and drinking water and green tea like nobody's business. This morning, the scale showed me a little love. I was back down to 160.8, but still in the 160's. I'll take it. So, for me this week:.

Penny, I know the feeling. What is going on with this? We are both very close to goal. Maybe we will appreciate it more when we DO reach goal. I didn't even weigh on my regular day (Thursday) because TOM was to rear it's ugly head. I don't need that NON-motivational number to show up on the scale!.

We need to hang in there and be patient, I guess. Just wanted you to know that someone else knows how you feel. It's frustrating for any of us to get on the scale and see it not budge when we know we have been 100%....

Well, I guess I will be facing the music tomorrow for the challenge weigh in. I am very scared of the scale going up for the first time ever.

Hello team! Just sent in our final stats for this challenge. We did so great! I'm really proud of the Shrinky Dinks!.

I know the frustrations of being stuck or losing slowly. I've been "stuck" for several weeks now and I'm trying to keep an upbeat attitude, but it's hard. Just have to keep looking at the big picture and how far we've come..
