Question I have... Where can I find Medifast recipes from Nicaragua? Thanks in advance for any comment. My 2nd question... Finally got home from hospital tonight and have been so tired. I've been.

Walking.

And deep breathing, but the 2-3 oz of water every 20 mins is close to impossible!! Suggestions??..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

Great that you are home and your recovery has started. Don't sweat the numbers for the next few days, but do keep to the routine. If you can only get in 1 oz. or a little more every 15 minutes, that'll get you close to 64 oz. if you're functional for about 16 hrs. I cozied up an armchair and ottoman (friends called it my nest), sat my water bottle, sippy cup and a kitchen timer beside it.

About every hour or so, I'd get up and walk around the house, do my lung exercises, and then to sip and rest again. In a few days, you'll be amazed at how much better you are feeling. Take care...

Ice, popsicles. I bought an ice ninja and filled it up all day and all night with clear beverages I could drink. I highly recommend it. Seven weeks post-surgery and I am drinking an iced tea slushie (no sugar, no carbonation) as I type this..

Re: OMG Lu - I stay up until three in the morning sipping. I thought we all got the water so was staying awake to be able to do it. *hangs naive head in shame*...

Good advice here. "Lu" is right. My dietician told me flat out first few months will be a struggle to get it all in from liquid to protien... The main thing is that you stay on plan and on schedule... Let the "amounts" come in time. Do your best...

Just keep sipping. And write everything down. Start your morning filling up a water bottle so you know when it is gone how much you have drank. I am only 3 weeks out and have learned I have to have the water bottle in my hand all day in order to no forget to drink. Funny how now our achievements come in how much liquid I can get down in a day...

Just do the best you can, that's all you can do. I am 3 weeks post op and still struggle to get the required liquids and protein in too. With the holidays and all the hustle makes it even harder. As long as you're keeping yourself somewhat hydrated, we'll get there..
