First question I got is Where can I get some good Weight Watchers Medifast recipes? Thanks for any response. Second question.. What would be one word of advice you wish someone would of told you about your healing process?.

Or good advice for the first month post op?.

I am almost packed and ready.. one year to the day of having my second son..so it's strange to not be going to the hospital and brining home a baby!.

Thanks to everyone who has awnsered my questions and concerns over the years. Monday I am finally going in for my open gbs, and am no longer nervous. The nerves have been replaced by strength and courage, and I am more ready than I have ever been to take on this immense step in my life!.

Hugs to you all and send out a little.

Prayer.

For me monday dec 6th please!..

For the first three days or so, find a comfy recliner or chair and ottoman and turn it into your "nest." Comforter, remote, tray for your fluids and sippy cups, kitchen timer to remind you to sip. Plan on dozing in that chair in between sipping and.

Walking.

Around the house a bit. You won't have much energy for a few days, and your body will need a lot of rest. Also, I found it easier to get up from a chair than from the bed for the first few days..

Hope.

You have a very successful procedure and a smooth recovery. (Mine has been a really easy recovery, so yours can be too!)..

I will be joining you in my own.

Surgery.

Ward with my surgeon on Monday as well! My recliner area is ready and bags are packed. House is almost clean and ready to recieve me back. One of my concerns is that I have 2 very active puppies and am concerned that they may jump on me when they see me, wanting to kiss and snuggle. Guess they will be outside puppies while I heal. See you when we get home!..

Like everyone says get plenty of rest and get your fluids in. Have stuff that you need nearby but also make sure you walk to keep from getting so sore. Best wishes for a successful.

Surgery.

And a speedy recovery, my prayers are with you..

Kathi..

Good luck to you all!! I am just a month out and would have to say the best advise is to have a journal to record what you eat and drink for the first few months. It makes it easier to keep track of required fluid and protein intake. Fluids are VERY important. Get your rest and don't be too hard on yourself..

Wow! four of us are on monday..... good luck to us all!.

I literally had a recliner delivered last night because all of my seating seems kind of low and I started worrying after read posts.........even got the electronic one where I just push a button... so I am set... lol.

Although I have not packed a bag yet... I have so much to do, I fear I won't be packing my bag till Sunday night ( I am taking a managerial economics course and my midterm is this weekend.. ugh!).

ANYWAY WHAT WAS THE MOST VALUABLE ITEM YOU HAD IN THE HOSPITAL? FROM HOME?..

Most valuable item from home? Nasal saline spray. All the.

Oxygen.

They push into you as well as the hospital heating system really tends to dry you out. If you want to.

Avoid.

A sinus infection post-op, take the spray (I use Ayr because it doesn't have a nasty chemical aftertaste that so many products do). Use the spray several times a day to keep your sinuses hydrated...
