First question I got is Where can I get some Medifast recipes for pineapple pie? Hoping for any response. Another question I got... I am 3 months out. I have several stupid Medifast food allergies, especially when it comes to fruits and vegetables. I can however tolerate citris fruits. I have avoided them because I know they can cause problems early on. When can I start eating these again? I am CRAVING limes and oranges! I couldn't find reference in my materials that said when I could eat them again...

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

As long as you're progressing well with the weight loss give it a little try. As you know the oranges do have a higher sugar content and will digest slightly acidic. And FYI when we get more acidic we pack fat. The human body stores fat when you get acidic!.

Now I'm a year out and do love a swig of OJ but my deal in my journey is I never drink calories. Ever. Unless it's alcohol..

Just sayin Lu..

The only way I drank water in the beginning was with a squirt of lemon juice or a plop of OJ in it... I had RNY one of the hottest summers so staying hydrated was even harder than it already is. I didn't have issues but you know... when in doubt ask your Doc. that's what they get the big bucks for remember they work for us..

;)..

I'm just 17 days post-op, but my program allows me to have OJ if it is diluted 50% with water......

I am almost a month out and have been having part of a small cup of sugar free mandarin orange slices almost every day - they are yummy! No real fruit for me yet ... although I am craving watermelon and might have to go in search of some soon...

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I just got done eating a clementine and was it ever good! I know I won't be able to eat them everyday because of the sugar, but it hit the spot! Not much tastes good to me these days, so that is saying alot. I also found a recipe for limeade, and plan to make a SF version tonight....I may.

Leave.

It a little tart. I could eat a lime straight......
