Welcome! You have found a wonderful group for info and support (and a few laughs along the way). Farmgirl had great advice but I always like to add my 2 cent recommendation for earplugs for the hospital...they can be noisy places at night! Also, if you are a reader, dont count on being able to enjoy.

Books.

While on pain meds Ive found TV is easier when Im drifting in and out so Tivo some extra shows in the next couple days!.

I spent a lot of time on this site.

Through old posts before.

It helped me prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for what was ahead. I knew what to expect and I believe that made a big difference..

Cant wait to get to know you better!.

Welcome! My suggestions for the hospital: Slippers to walk around in (slip on... you're not going to want to bend over). I also brought my Ipod and earbuds to cut down on hearing all the noise going on..

Remember to breathe deep, walk as much as you can, sip as often as possible, and rest in between..

Sending you best wishes for a speedy recovery...

I agree with everyone here !! I think we were all a LOT nervous about the procedure. Everything is a whirlwind to that point. Just remember to get up and walk, walk, walk, walk !!! I walked day in and day out. They say it helps you heal faster and it is OH SO TRUE !! You will be great !!! We all were !!..
